Although written primarily for young readers, it can be used profitably by all beginners students of the Hebrew language. The New Illustrated Hebrew-English Dictionary for Young Readers features:
1. Verbs, adverbs, conjunctions, prepositions and other parts of speech are used in illustrative sentences.
2. Derivative words and expressions are included under the primary entries to illustrate the unique character of the Hebrew language, which creates new words for a given root by means of different vocalization patterns, as well as by the addition of prefixes and suffixes to the root letters. (Words of high frequency in the language will be found in their alphabetical order in addition to their subsumption as derivatives.)
3. Pictorial illustrations have been added to elucidate and decorate the text.
