Written over a period of years, with no particular theme in mind. reflecting events of jewish life and experience throughout the world in the 19th and 20th centuries.
Esther (Shapiro) Rafaeli was born in Tel Aviv (Palestine) and grew up in Australia. She graduated from Melbourne University, and in Feb. 1950 she married Alexander (Sacha) Rafaeli z"l, of Riga. After bringing four children into the world, she earned her second degree at Hebrew University, in English Literature and Special Education. She was a volunteer docent at the Hebrew Museum for over thirty years, and also researched and wrote a biography of an illustrious ancestor, Reb Aisel Harif of Slonim and his descendants, which was published in English and in Hebrew. Her Children and grandchildren all live in Israel.
