Seymour Rossel

Born in 1945, Rabbi Seymour Rossel works in editing, writing and publishing. He is the author of 34 books. 

Rabbi Rossel holds a BA in History with a Minor in Education from the Southern Methodist University in Dallas as well as an MA in Education from New York University School of Education, Institute of Hebrew Culture. He studied Bible and archeology at the institute with Dr Cyrus Gordon. Rossel was ordained as a Rabbi in 2000 by the Westchester Bet Din.

Seymour Rossel has served as Dean of the School of Education at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion as well as Curriculum Expert for the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. In 1988-1989, Rossel served as the National Director of Gesher LeKesher, a program for Jewish teens. He was headmaster of Solomon Schechter Academy of Texas and Director of the National Department of Education of the Reform movement and co-founder of the Coalition for the Advancement of Jewish Education.
